The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion concluded Sunday at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca,, where the remainder of the 550 cars (which are divided into 17 Rolex Race Groups according to age and engine size, and each one must be period-correct in their presentation) took their turns on the classic road course. Saturday was the Anacapa Challenge outrigger canoe race across the Channel. Oxnard Outrigger hosted the race with teams of twelve paddlers in each crew. Each crew had six men and six women, with an escort boat. Every half hour they would change by being dropped in front of the canoe, then, as quickly as possible the men jump out and the women climb in. This goes on, back and forth until the end of the race, about 4 hours plus.
